The Association of Lighthouse Keepers provides a forum for everyone interested. In lighthouses, lightships and aids to navigation. We have a number of serving and former keepers amongst our members,. Although being a lighthouse keeper is not a requirement for joining the Association.
We are a community based archaeology group formed by volunteers following a community dig on Bidston Hill in Merseyside during the summer of 2010. Bidston Community Archaeology was constituted in June of 2011 and achieved full associate membership of the Council for British Archaeology in February 2012. Our membership stretches from early teens to seventies and we are always on the lookout for new members to join in with our adventures in the exploration of the past. What do we do? Like to join us?
